Looking for EARLY CHILDHOOD EDUCATION STAFF to join our dynamic team:

    R.E.C.E. - Supply Staff

 

The SUCCESSFUL candidates will have PROVEN SUCCESS and a POSITIVE TRACK RECORD in best practices relating to:

ü  Meeting the physical, social and emotional needs of the children in our care

ü  Supervision of the children inside and outside in the playground

ü  Classroom management

ü  Classroom set up and arrangement and tidy up

ü  Lunch, snacks and washroom routines

ü  Record keeping including daily class attendance in compliance with daycare policy and procedure

ü  Input to student reports 

ü  Participation in Judaic activities, Jewish holiday celebrations and circle times

ü  Positive communication with families

ü  Attending staff meetings & required training  scheduled outside of normal working hours

 

THE SUCCESSFUL candidates WILL POSSESS:

  • Enthusiasm, a love of working with children and a passion for teaching
  • At least 2 years experience in the childcare field in Ontario
  • Knowledge of Jewish life, traditions, culture and Israel is a must; as well as an ability to integrate these concepts appropriately in the daycare/preschool/afterschool program content
  • Excellent language skills in English and/or Hebrew: communication, writing, reading
  • Criminal record check, Child abuse registry check
  • Immunization records, Tuberculosis test

·         Experience in the non-profit sector/ JCC environment an asset

  • Outstanding interpersonal skills: great attitude and ability to build relationships, a positive “can-do’ attitude
  • Solutions-based problem solving and ability to multi-task
  • Punctual, responsible and dependable
  • Available to work between 7:30 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. Monday to Friday
