All of our Jewish Learning lectures, seminars and classes will be taught by Dr. Rachael Turkienicz
Dr. Rachael Turkienicz was born and raised in Toronto. She received her Ph.D. from Brandeis University in the area of Talmud and Midrash. Rachael is the Founder and Executive Director of Rachael’s Centre, a Canadian not-for-profit institution involved in informal Jewish education and pluralistic Judaism.
Rachael is a consultant for various Jewish Day Schools as well as academically on university faculties. Rachael directed and co-founded a private Jewish day school with an integrated curriculum and is widely involved in Canadian media as a newspaper columnist, radio panelist and television host and producer. Rachael’s community involvements include international and national Jewish advocacy agencies, as well as interfaith and ethics projects here and abroad. Rachael is also a governor of the Canadian International Peace Project and is a highly sought after speaker.
Rachael lives in the Toronto area and is married with 5 children.
